ROCK BUNS (SCONES) (Lynn Bickley)
1 7/8 cups of self-rising flour (i.e. just short of 2 cups)
1 1/2 sticks soft butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup minced dried fruit (apricots, cranberries, etc)
Mix dough with hands; form into balls.
Bake on greased and floured cookie sheet in a 400 degree oven for 10-12 minutes, depending on size.
